SAUSALITO -- Sausalito school officials are looking for a new superintendent after a shake-up in the Sausalito Marin City School District.
District officials have placed Rose Marie Roberson on paid administrative leave.
Citing its privacy policy over personnel matters, district officials wouldn't say why they removed the veteran administrator. Classes are scheduled to start Monday.
"We are all preparing, getting ready, staff is currently meeting and training," said board president George Stratigos. "The district is in good hands with a strong staff."
The district had 263 students in the 2004-05 school year.
Roberson has served as superintendent since 1999.
In 2000, teachers gave a vote of no-confidence to Roberson and a principal.
Before coming to the Bay Area, Roberson was assistant superintendent for the Culver City Unified School District./AP
